B. Charalambos Georgiou

Charalambos studied Law at the University of Kent at Canterbury. He completed his studies in Byzantine music at the school of Byzantine music in London under the tutelage of Father Joseph Paliouras. He has served as the Lambadarios of the Church of the 12 Apostles since the summer of 2005, and was tonsured as a reader in March 2008.

He is a keen musician, having played in numerous orchestras and folk groups at school, university and beyond, and has sung in many choirs. He has a passion for the traditional music of Greece, Cyprus and the surrounding Balkan region. He has taken part in numerous youth-related festivals and camps for Christian Orthodox youth in the United Kingdom. His other interests include Ancient and Mediaeval "Byzantine" History, travelling and iconography.

Charalambos was given the honour of becoming a Queens Scout within the Scouting Movement in 2006, and served as the leader of Her Majesty's guard of honour during the Remembrance Day celebrations in 2007.
